I do recommend using the best quality chocolate you can afford, because it will make a big difference in the overall flavor (something like Ghirardelli).īutter: Butter is added because it makes the texture more silky and satiny, and it adds a lovely rich flavor. They also add a deliciously rich flavor.Ĭhocolate: Bittersweet chocolate is what the recipe calls for, but you can use whichever chocolate you think you’ll like best. This isn’t a recipe where skim or 2% milk would work well.Įgg Yolks: Egg yolks help thicken and bind the filling. It adds such a deliciously creamy flavor. Milk: It’s so important to use whole milk.
